Hi,

I admire your talent! It's clear how much care and love you put into making and decorating cakes for your family and friends.

I found a book at Ingles, where they display discounted books, that you might enjoy. The cakes are perhaps not as advanced as yours, but you may be able to add to and extend the concepts.

I liked it because there were a few that I felt I might be able to make fairly well -- though the concept of making, rolling out, and fitting fondant is a long way aways for me.

The book is:

Birthday Cakes: Easy to Make and Spectacular to Look at!

There is not specific author, but it is published by Food Love, an imprint by Parragon Books limited, copyright 2007.

The Buncombe County library system may have it. I found mine at the Ingles on Merrimon; other Ingles branches may also have it. If you buy a book at Ingles, the discounted price is also lowered by using your Advantage card, if you have one.

I look forward to reading more from your blog through the semester.

Take care,
Michelle

You make beautiful cakes. I love to bake cakes and I am totally excited about the fondant recipe you put on your blog. I am going to have to make a cake now just to use it!
